Paint and Chill Parties
Come and book a party with us, we cater for both children...
Our Art Hugs Studio
Established in April 2023, it started as an idea where like minded creatives could all gather together and create with no pressures or expectations, to just be themselves and explore their creativity. It began as 2 beautiful children and their parents sitting at my dining table, creating art together. As I watched them create with focus and determination, I saw a need to introduce this very idea to children, teens and adults on a larger scale. Mindfulness and art can be paired together using creativity and self-expression, allowing participants to build self-confidence, be present in the moment and enjoy their own creative space.
The vision quickly outgrew the space and evolved into what we are today: An ever-expanding art family of over 70+ participants a week, business workshops, paint and chill parties. We are humbled and excited to see where this adventure will take us. Be patient with us as we grow, learn, and tweak our services so they best serve you. We are a family business, small and hands-on, with no outside production. Just our creativity and our local resources. I invite you in, come and explore our world and see if you would like to be part of it. Art Hugs to you all.
A little tour of our Studio in Shailer Park
Our Classes are small (Maximum of 16 students spread over 2 studios) This is the common layout of the class. All aircon, wheelchair friendly, and heated in winter. Free onsite and street parking customer parking and a short stroll outside the complex a coffee or a quick grocery shop at Loganholme.
Private 1:1 Art as Therapy Sessions
We also offer private bookings incorporating Art as therapy into mindfulness art and crafting activities', giving you tools to ease anxiety and learn more about yourself and focus on things in a positive way with gratitude.
Art plays such a huge role in being mindful. It helps with anxiety and the creative process enables us to explore self-expression and enjoy the wonders that art can bring out in us all.
Here at Art Hugs, we focus on positivity and celebrate the process of creating art, not the end result. Whether it is to learn art as a skill or to practice mindfulness, we explore it here in this safe space. This environment is also a great social and creative outlet for home schooled children seeking an expressive space to explore something new. We are all unique, and we all deserve the opportunity to explore our artistic selves freely.
We celebrate art throughout the year with all our students, with competitions online and in studio, awards for end-of-term creative achievements and we are even hoping to host an end-of-year gallery showcase for students to show their favourite works from the year and celebrate their artistic endeavours in 2024. This will be a ticketed event, and there will be nibbles and refreshments on offer.
